Just A Jolt scores in Philadelphia feature

Chester, PA — The featured event on Sunday afternoon at Harrah’s Philadelphia was a pace for winner’s over $25,000 lifetime going for a purse of $30,000. The wagering public gave slight favoritism to Wake Up Peter from post seven.

At the start, it was last week’s winner Handsome Henry K storming out from post eight, clearing the quarter in :26.4. After a rated second quarter of :29, the leader felt pressure in the form of Wake Up Peter and these two battled to the three-quarters.

As they straightened for the drive, Handsome Henry K attempted to kick away, but the pocket-sitter Just A Jolt had other ideas. Driver Victor Kirby sent him up the passing lane for the victory, stopping the clock in 1:51.1. Atta Boy Dan, who was flying in the stretch, had to settle for second, while Handsome Henry K held third.

Just A Jolt is owned by John Dayton and is trained by Joann Looney-King.
