Let’s Go Higher wins Saratoga Open

Saratoga Springs, NY — Let’s Go Higher (Cole Muffler) won her first local Open on Sunday at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

Let’s Go Higher won a photo finish in the Open on Sunday.

The 5-year-old mare was assigned post three in the $20,000 Open for distaff pacers and went off at odds of 6-1. The Heidi Rohr trainee stayed along the pylons after coming away third in the early going.

Driver Shawn Gray got Let’s Go Higher going in the passing lane in the stretch and they got up to win a photo with Persistent (Wally Hennessey), who finished second, and Elodie (Bruce Aldrich, Jr.), who earned the show spot.

Let’s Go Higher recorded a lifetime best 1:54 victory in the Sunday Open.

Live racing resumes on Wednesday night at Saratoga with a special 5 p.m. first post as the annual Independence Day celebration will feature an incredible fireworks display at the conclusion of the evening’s race card.
