Marty’s Charm fashions front-end victory at The Meadows

Meadow Lands, PA — Marty’s Charm cruised to a front-end victory in the $25,000 Preferred Handicap Pace on Friday at The Meadows, lifting his career win percentage to an impressive 48.6 (18 wins in 37 starts).

Randy Tharps gunned Marty’s Charm to the front, where he easily fended off the first over thrust of Jagger Blue Chip. The 5-year-old gelded son of Aces N Sevens-Bets Mae brushed home in :27.4 to score by 2-1/4 lengths over Pacey Deucey, who was last at the three-quarter pole. Ridegline used a ground-saving trip to finish third.

Paul Corey trains Marty’s Charm for Martha and Gerald Baluck.

Dave Palone drove four winners on the 14-race card.
