Jim Morand piloted World Fame to a 1:54.1 score in the Mares Open.

World Fame, a 4-year-old No Pan Intended mare, set all the fractions in a half length win over Don’ttellmewhatodo and Full Circle Patty. Trained by Les Givens, it was the third win of the year for World Fame.

It was one of two training wins for Les Givens whose brother, fellow trainer Wayne Givens, had three victories.

Morand remained hot after winning four races on Monday and has won 12 races in three days at Harrington.

Corey Callahan registered three driving wins.

Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs
Tim Tetrick punctuated a big driving night at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs by guiding Dagnabit Hanover to a dominating win in the featured $21,000 conditioned pace on Tuesday night. The win with Dagnabit Hanover was Tetrick’s fifth and final victory of the night. That matched the highest single-night total by a driver so far at Pocono this season, which was set this past Saturday night. Leaving from post position five in a field of eight mares, Dagnabit Hanover, trained by George Anthony, burned out to the early lead. Tetrick guided the 5-year-old mare through some impressive fractions in heavy rain, but she was still pacing strong at the finish line to win easily in the slop in 1:52.1, matching a career-best time. Billie Blue Chip finished second and Kate’s Joy picked up the show. With the win, Dagnabit Hanover, sired by Allamerican Native and owned by Jeffrey Rose and Hankook Stable, now has three victories in 12 tries this year. It was the 18th win of her career and pushed her career earnings to $219,085.

The Meadows
BV’s Sister worked out a comfortable pocket trip, then shot the sloppy Lightning Lane to score a narrow victory in Tuesday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows. After Greg Grismore hustled BV’s Sister away from the gate from post three, she settled in behind Caviar Forthe Lady, who was strong enough to carry her to the Lightning Lane. The 7-year-old daughter of Big Victory-First Breath had plenty left for the drive, prevailing in 1:57 by a head over Rose Run Keepsake, who raced well first over. Caviar Forthe Lady saved show. Virgil Morgan, Jr. trains BV’s Sister, who now boasts career earnings of $495,846, for Ken Sommer. Dave Palone drove four winners and Grismore three on the 15-race card.

Monticello Raceway
Two weeks ago Game Jocko won an overnight pace in 1:58.1 and then last week the Robert Costello III-trained veteran moved up against the local big boys in the winners over pace at Monticello Raceway where he raced gamely but finished fourth. On Tuesday the Expensive Scooter 7-year-old gelding rallied to defeat the best pacers on the grounds with a 1:56.2 performance for driver Jimmy Marohn, Jr. After swift early fractions by Wicked N Rude (Bruce Aldrich, Jr.), Game Jocko was sixth at the quarter. Steadily moving up on the limb Marohn found himself fifth at the third stanza and then with a three-deep move on the final turn Game Jocko wore down the leader and was a neck better than Speakin Greek and Stephane Bouchard at the wire. P H Bestman, who came in from Truro Raceway in the Canadian Maritimes, finished third for Zeke Parker. Game Jocko, owned by Robert Costello, paid $34.60, $34.20 and $8.50 across the board. Jimmy Marohn, Jr., a 29-year-old reinsman who is approaching 1,500 career victories, added two others on the Monticello card when he won with Edward Hall’s Nineteenfiftysix in 1:56.4 and with James Schreibeis’ Open Range in 1:58.4.
