Sunshine Superman rallied in the lane to win the Open in 1:53.1.

The 5-year-old Rocknroll Hanover gelding was claimed earlier in the year for his new connections and picked up his first career Open level win with a surging three-wide move on the final turn where he gathered momentum and outkicked pacesetter Wind Me Up for the win. Dancin Yankee was third.

Trained by Toby Lynch, it was the sixth win of the year for Sunshne Superman.

Drivers Tony Morgan and Jim Morand each won three races on the program. Morgan has won 31 races over the past 10 racing programs at Harrington.

Racing continues on a Monday through Thursday schedule until closing night on Oct. 29.

Wildsville moved his local record to three-for-three on Monday afternoon at Saratoga as the Ken Anderson trained pacer secured a convincing victory. Piloted by Dan Cappello, Jr., Wildsville (Western Hanover) moved out to the lead past the opening quarter and would never face a challenge before drawing away late to win in 1:56.2. The 4-year-old pacer is undefeated in his three Spa starts and has been an odds-on favorite in each of his local tries. Monday’s victory came in the $5,000 conditioned-claimer. For Cappello, it was his fourth winner on the card. Anderson recorded a training double as his Bronson Blue Chip (American Ideal) scored earlier in the matinee program.
