When Two Fools Met scored in 1:55.4 on Saturday at Dover.

Racing in the middle of the nine-horse field, Henley pulled his 4-year-old I Am A Fool-Heather’s Halo mare up to challenge, then sped past the leaders and opened up an uncatchable lead in the stretch on the way to his second straight victory.

Henley also owns When Two Fools Met, trained by Garey Jump. It was Henley’s second win at Dover Downs this meet.

Race favorite American Ginger (Vic Kirby) had road trouble and finally was able to close for second. OK Destiny (Allan Davis) was the show finisher.

Tony Morgan drove four winners, Ross Wolfenden had a triple and trainer Tim Crissman and Crissman Inc. had two winners.

Buffalo Raceway
A little R & R in sunny warm Florida was all that was needed for Cole Hard Cash as the 7-year-old Cole Muffler gelding won the $11,000 Open Pace in 1:55.4 for owners Elm Racing at Buffalo Raceway Saturday night. It was the first win in three attempts this year for Cole Hard Cash, who went over $200,000 in lifetime earnings with his win.
Cole Hard Cash ($22.20), driven by Dan Noble, settled in fourth as the favorite and eventual third place finisher Spender Hanover (Shawn Gray) cut all the fractions in the race, :28.3, :57.2 and 1:26.4. As the field hit the top of the stretch, Cole Hard Cash and Noble had the leaders right in front of them and a :28.2 last quarter-mile put the winner 1-1/2 lengths ahead of second place finisher Dontgetinskyway (Dave McNeight III) at the wire. Trained by Christi Pokornowski, the $5,500 share of the purse put Cole Hard Cash’s lifetime earnings at $205,251. It was his 26th lifetime win in 149 attempts. Noble led all drivers with five wins on the card.
