At least in France, everybody wants to buy a yearling sired by Ready Cash.

At the first day of the Arqana-trot sale held Wednesday (Sept. 5) in Deauville, 13 yearlings sired by Ready Cash were sold for an average price of $157,000.

The highest price at the sale was $370,000, paid for a colt, Here I Am sired by Ready Cash and out of Come On Jet, she by Goetmals Wood. That was a new French sales record. The previous record from last year was $350,000, for another colt by Ready Cash.

The most expensive filly Wednesday, Havilah, was sold for $210,000. She was also sired by Ready Cash.

In fact, the seven highest priced yearlings were all by Ready Cash.

A total of 80 of 122 yearlings who went into the ring were sold for an average price of $55,000. That is up 20 percent from last year.

The sale continues Thursday and concludes Friday.
