Red Mile announces stakes sponsors

Lexington, KY — The Red Mile has announced their two signature 3-year-old, pre-Grand Circuit filly events, will again in 2008 be sponsored by the same entities as 2007.

The Moni Maker, for 3-year-old filly trotters, will be raced in eliminations on Sunday, September 7, with the final on Sunday, September 14, and will be sponsored by The Horseman & Fair World.

The Nadia Lobell, for 3-year-old filly pacers, will be raced as a one-night event on Sunday, September 7, and will be sponsored by The Post Printing Company, Inc.

The 116th Kentucky Futurity, programmed for Saturday, October 4, will be sponsored by Margareta Wallenius-Kleberg’s Swedish based Menhammar Stuteri AB and her US based Stoner Manor, Inc., in conjunction with Cindy and Steve Stewart’s Hunterton Farm at Stoner Creek, located in Paris, Ky. The estimated purse for 2008 is $700,000.

The 44th Kentucky Filly Futurity, scheduled for Friday, October 3, will be sponsored by Al J. Libfeld and Marvin Katz. Both gentlemen are breeders/owners based in Ontario, Canada. The estimated purse for 2008 is $400,000.
