Reden wins pair of Swedish Breeders Crown races

Trainer Daniel Redén has a strong group of 3- and 4-year-old trotters in his stable. In the Swedish Breeders Crown finals, raced Sunday afternoon (Nov. 8) at Eskilstuna, Redén had the winners in two races.

The 3-year-old colt division was won by Mister Hercules with Ôrjan Kihlström in the bike. Mister Hercules, who is sired by Trixton, was an easy winner of the 1-5/16th mile contest in 1:56.1f (mile rate).

In the division for 4-year-old mares, Redén-trained Milady Grace (also with Kihlström in the bike) won in 1:56.1f (mile rate), followed by stablemate Golden Tricks with Björn Goop.

Goop was in the sulky behind the winner in the 3-year-old filly division, Eagle Eye Sherry (sired by Bold Eagle), who won by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:56.4f (mile rate).

The division for 4-year-old male trotters had the Derby winner, Hail Mary, driven by Per Lennartsson, in command the whole trip. Robert Bergh-trained Hail Mary (sired by Googoo Gaagaa) won in 1:55f (mile rate).

The purse for the winner in all Breeders Crown finals was $185,000.
