Registration open for The Symposium at the World Trotting Conference

from Standardbred Canada

Mississauga, ON — Registration for The Symposium at the 2017 World Trotting Conference is now open, and you’re invited!

In August, Standardbred Canada will host the World Trotting Conference, set to take place in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The event coincides with the 250th anniversary of horse racing in Canada, and the 150th anniversary of the country.

The focus is: Racing into the future

All day on Aug. 16, and throughout the morning of Aug. 17, the Symposium will feature content and top speakers from Canada, and around the world, to talk about the future of the sport of harness racing.

This is your chance to visit beautiful PEI, engage in valuable and entertaining sessions about the industry, and meet delegates and participants from across the globe. After the Symposium, you are encouraged to stay on the Island for the final leg of the World Driving Championship on Friday (Aug. 18) and the Gold Cup & Saucer on Saturday (Aug. 19). Both events will take place at Red Shores at Charlottetown Driving Park.

The ticket price of C$175 (inclusive of taxes) includes access to all Symposium sessions, as well as lunch and coffee breaks on both days at the Delta Prince Edward Island. Space is limited.

The World Trotting Conference Symposium sessions will focus on four major subjects:

  • Racing and wagering
  • Breeding
  • Equine welfare and integrity
  • Marketing
