Schenectady, NY — Owners are reminded to complete and submit yearling nominations for foals of eligible mares bred to registered stallions standing in New York State in 2017. This nomination will allow horses to be eligible to the lucrative New York Sire Stakes program and compete as 2-year-olds in 2020 and 3-year-olds in 2021. Proof of registration must accompany the nomination.

Nomination forms were mailed to owners at the time of mating. If you have not received one or purchased the foal, you can access the form online here. The submission deadline is Wednesday (May 15). Online credit card payments are not available for yearling nominations.

About the Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund:
The Agriculture & NYS Horse Breeding Development Fund is a public benefit corporation established in 1965 by the Laverne Law (Laws of New York, Chapter 567 of the Laws of 1965). The mission of the fund is to promote agriculture through the breeding of Standardbred horses and the conduct of equine research within the state.
