Columbus, OH — Rene Lee Thibodeau, 55, died May 16, 2010, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

He was born in Augusta Sept. 25, 1954, the son of the late Donald and Irene (Doe) Thibodeau. He lived in the Augusta area most of his life, before recently moving to Carmel. He was a 1973 Cony High School graduate.

From the time he was very young, Mr. Thibodeau enjoyed tinkering with anything that had a motor on it and would get him around. More recently, he enjoyed training Standardbreds.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, Rene “Buddy”; stepchildren, Susan, Jason and Chad; brothers, Donald and John (Karin); in-laws, Willard and Olive Henderson; brothers-in-law, David and Alton Henderson; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Hartgrove and Mary Nickerson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
