Repossession posts his third consecutive win and his second over older competition at Hippodrome 3R on Sunday.

Racing against older horses for the second straight week and starting again from the rail, Gendron changed tactics with Reposession, racing him from off the pace out of the starting gate. Old Fashion Gal (Sylvain Fontaine) started off the race going to the early lead but Dream Of Mattjesty and driver Pascal Berube also had their sights on controlling the pace and took command after a quick opening quarter-mile in :28.1.

Then as Berube tried to back off the pace to the half-mile marker with Dream Of Mattjesty, Gendron came first-over with Reposession before the half mile marker in :59.2.
Those two then raced head and head into the backstretch where Reposession overpowered Dream Of Mattjesty and took the lead by the three-quarters in 1:29.2. From there Gendron and Reposession pulled away from the field in the stretch to win by two and one-half lengths in 1:59.2. Old Fashioned Gal came on for second with Stiletto Heels (Marion Charron) third.

Winless early this season in the Ohio Sire Stakes, Reposession was purchased by Francois Morin and brought up to 3R where the black gelding has blossomed with his three straight wins. He paid $2.70 to win.
Live racing resumes at the Hippodrome 3R next Sunday (Oct. 16) with first race post time at 1:30 p.m. For more information, visit
