Restless Native wins first of the year in Dover Sunday feature

Dover, DE — Restless Native had just enough to hold off challenger Lover Boy at the wire to win the $11,000 Male Sunday afternoon, Feb. 17 feature at a windy Dover Downs.

Restless Native was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:52.4 in Sunday afternoon’s feature race at Dover Downs.

Tony Morgan drove Restless Native for his second of three wins on the card collecting a 1:52.4 victory. Lover Boy (Jon Roberts) was a close up second with Izzy Real (George Dennis) third. It was one of three wins for owner-trainer Art Brewer, who also conditioned Make It Brief (George Dennis), a 1:54.3 winner of a Delaware $10,000 Claiming pace, and Ben G (Ron Pierce) in a Delaware $5,500 5&6-year-old Male pace.

Morgan had four winning drives, George Dennis and Ron Pierce had doubles.

Alexachase, Monochromatic and Southwind Jazmin lead a strong field of female pacers in the Monday feature race, the $23,000 Open Handicap pace.
