Ft. Washington, MD — Rose and Romeo LLC’s Rhaposdy Rose took the Sunday night (March 20) $10,000 feature for mares at Rosecroft, scoring for Pat Berry in 1:55.2.

The 10-year-old daughter of Real Artist was parked three-wide to the opening quarter before yielding the lead to Seeking Nirvana (Henrik Lundell). Berry remained patient until the final turn, vacating the pocket and holding off 50-1 shot Madge’s Lil Fortune (Russell Foster) and half-sister Lanco Express (Brian Burton). The winner and third place finisher were from the same mare, Meghan’s Express.

Sean Bier made his season’s debut driving on Sunday night and won twice, while Frank Milby won a pair of races as well. Brian Tomlinson conditioned two winners on the card, while David Hill III and John Gazzerro both posted two wins driving their own as well.

Rosecoft resumes live racing Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. with a 13-race card.
