Trainer Richard Chansky, the subject of a 50-state arrest warrant since his failure to appear at an arraignment in Ocean County (NJ) court two weeks ago, was arrested on February 25 in Jackson, New Jersey.

Chansky is facing multiple charges, dating to April of 2001, of tax evasion, as well as possession of illegal steroids. An associate in those charges, Kevin Goodell, who faces charges relating to possession of stolen property, epogen and neupogen, remains at large.

Chansky was arrested by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department with assistance from the Jackson Police Department. He was at the home of his father, at an address supplied in the past by Chansky on applications for racing licenses. It is expected that he will face a bail hearing today; a bail of $50,000 cash was previously set when he failed to appear earlier this month.
