Columbus, OH — Richard Ruffles, 61, of Pittsfield, N.Y., died at his home on March 2, 2021.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1959, in Sidney, N.Y., the son of Richard and Elizabeth (Welch) Ruffles.

His childhood was spent in the Gilbertsville, Edmeston and West Edmeston areas. He was a graduate of Edmeston Central School.

Mr. Ruffles was a self-employed Standardbred owner and trainer.

He is survived by his father, Richard; fiancée, Ginny Mumbalo; children, Paul and Jessie; siblings, Pam (Mike) Simons, Farrell (Tina) and Allen; one niece; and 10 nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth.

A celebration of life will be held at the families’ convenience.
