Columbus, OH — Ricky L. Edwards, 56, of Marengo, Ohio, died Jan. 8, 2011 in Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Mr. Edwards was born May 26, 1954 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Donald J. and Jean E. (Pence) Edwards. He was a 1972 graduate of Highland High School.

He was a well known Standardbred trainer/driver in his younger years and had been a member of the USTA.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Edwards is survived by his son, Clint; brother, Dale (Brenda); nephew, Cody; niece, Katelyn; uncle, Robert Pence; and cousin, Robert Pence.

Friends may call on Thursday, Jan. 13, at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street, Cardington from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
