Riggle Wealth takes Meadows feature off 10-month layoff

by Evan Pattak, for The Meadows

Washington, PA — Riggle Wealth, who hadn’t raced in 10 months, made a triumphant return to the wars Monday (March 5) at The Meadows when he overcame post nine and captured the feature, a $10,500 non-winners of two conditioned pace.

Riggle Wealth was a 1:55 winner on Monday.

Unraced at 2, Riggle Wealth was off to a promising sophomore campaign — two wins in as many starts — when he was sidelined in May. On Monday, he flashed that promise once more when he zipped to the front for Dave Palone and scored handily in 1:55, 1-3/4 lengths better than the pocket-sitting All About Heaven. Major Action earned show.

Ron Burke trains Riggle Wealth, a Foreclosure N-Ashlee’s Girl gelding, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi and Phillip Collura.

Mike Wilder piloted three winners on the eight-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Tuesday, first post 1:05 p.m.
