Toronto, ON — Found An Angel and Road Trip Girl both battled high winds and frigid temperatures on Thursday night at Woodbine to emerge victorious in their respective C$25,000 Autumn Stake eliminations for 3-year-old filly trotters.

Found An Angel took command just past the quarter in the opening contest for driver Paul MacDonell and then led the rest of the way for a 2:01 victory. Good Poker Face followed all the way in second and finished three-quarters of a length in arrears with Meadowview April another two lengths back in third.

The daughter of Duke Of York – Lou Macs Glory returned a popular $3.00 in recording her third win in 20 starts this season for trainer John Bax and owner Al Libfeld of Pickering, Ontario.

In the second elimination, heavily favored Road Trip Girl floated out from post five before taking the lead at the quarter and then cruising to an easy 2:02.1 tally. Jody Jamieson, who earlier in the day set a new Canadian dash-winning record at Flamboro Downs, guided the daughter of Mr Lavec – Sennas Image to a 4-1/4 length win over Strikingimpression and Just One Day.

It was the second win in 13 trips postward this season for the filly who is owned by Lori Thomson along with trainer Jeffrey Thomson.
