Roberts wins four on Tuesday at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Jonathan Roberts won four races, while Russell Foster visited the winner’s circle three times at Rosecroft Raceway on Tuesday night (Oct. 6).

Foster followed Roberts to victory in the featured Open Handicap Pace with Hi Sir.

Roberts sent Tom’s Titan first over after the pacesetter Shady Breeze (Roger Plante) who set fractions of :25.4, :53.2 and 1:21.3. As the horses entered the stretch, Foster tipped Hi Sir ($6.40) four wide and flew off the turn in :28.2 for the 1:51.3 score. Foster owns and trains the 7-year-old Sir Luck offspring. Tom’s Titan held for second, while Smart Rokker (Brian Burton) was third.

Roberts won an upper level conditioned trotting event with Classic Filly, besting Jailhouse Juice (Kim Vincent) in 1:55.2.

Roberts pulled an upset at 13-1 in the opening race, a winners over pace, with Movie Sequel in 1:53.

Foster scored in the $10,000-$15,000 claiming handicap with Acardi, also in 1:53.

Sean Bier and Frank MIlby also netted multiple wins on the card.
