Ft. Washington, MD — Kim Vincent and Rock N Roll Jet get along as good as any horse and driver on the Mid-Atlantic circuit. Sunday night (April 15), Rock N Roll Jet ($7.40) rallied from seventh to nip pacesetter I’m Super Sonic A (Sean Bier) in 1:53.2 for his third $10,000 Open Handicap win at Rosecroft this meet. Baby Kitty (Jason Green) was third.

It was the second win of the night for owner-trainer Buddy Bright who co-owns the winner with Dawn Webb. The 9-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover has won 12 of his last 45 starts and now posts lifetime earnings of $302,211.

Vincent also guided Bright and Webb’s Dances Cruiser to a victory in race three in 1:56, returning $10.40.

The weather forced a minus one allowance on a good surface as rain and wicked winds gusting over 30 mph lasted through the entire card.

Allan Davis notched three victories on the card. Extreme Machine N won for Jeff and David Clark and returned a high value of $7.80 on a class drop this week. Davis won with Lomangino Standardbreds’ Sword Of The Spirit ($13.20) for trainer Lewis Nunes and Seehowhighicango who broke his maiden in his 19th try. The 4-year-old Western Terror gelding returned $11.40 for owner William Greene and trainer Michael Greene.

Leading dash driver Frank Milby posted a double, his first with Abelard Hanover in one of the more puzzling pari-mutuel returns of the night. The 10-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover went wire-to-wire in 1:52.1, netting his 51st career win, paying $14.40 and he now has lifetime earnings of more than $750,000. All three of his 2018 wins have come in the non-winners of $6,000 last five. The $110,000 Lexington Selected Sale yearling purchase is owned by Suzanne Waskey and the Four Maples Stable and is trained by John Hollingworth.

Milby also found the winner’s circle with Candy Stash which produced a double for owner Tom Cooke, whose Tom’s Tornado won earlier in the card for Brian Burton.
