Saratoga Springs, NY — Rocknroll Runa A won another $15,000 Open Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel, extending his local win streak to four with a 1:53.1 score on Saturday night (Feb. 10).

A winner of his final two Opens in 2023, Rocknroll Runa A got his 2024 campaign at the Spa started with a victory in the feature last weekend. On Saturday, the 7-year-old drew post eight for owner-trainer-driver Larry Stalbaum, and he got away in midfield while favorite Slip The Hundy N (Jay Randall) powered to the lead in a :56 first half. Rocknroll Runa A advanced to slug it out with the invading favorite for the entirety of the second lap and got the better of Slip The Hundy N in the stretch by three-quarters of a length.

Slip The Hundy N proved to be a strong second; long shot Twin B Tuffenuff (Mitch Cushing) closed to finish third.

As the 2-1 second choice, Rocknroll Runa A led an exacta and triple that paid $17.20 and $353, respectively. Stalbaum scored a double when his Ashley Locaz N prevailed in the finale, a claiming event for pacers.
