Roger Bartley, Jr., 44, dies

Columbus, OH — Roger C. Bartley, Jr., 44, of Columbus, Ohio, died March 1, 2012, after a heart attack.

Mr. Bartley was a man of many talents. He was a true salesman since the age of 13. He sold red and blue women’s dress shoes at age 16, worked as a lawn mower contractor and owned several used car dealership.

He also owned, trained, and was a driver of Standardbreds. His two favorite horses were Hawaiian Flash and Captain Mo.

Mr. Bartley is survived by his father, Roger Sr.; children, Brandon, Keith, Ashley Jordan and Tiffany Jordan; grandchildren, Makenzie Given and Jayden Given; brother, Chad (Jennifer); and nieces and nephews, Kelsea, Caden, Savanna and Jenna. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye; and grandparents, Albert (Essie) and Leslie (Evelyn) Collier.

Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday (March 6) at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday (March 7). Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
