Roger Huston appearing at Mohawk Saturday

Campbellville, ON — Legendary announcer Roger Huston will be making a special appearance at Mohawk Racetrack this Saturday evening (Aug. 5).

Best known for calling the Little Brown Jug, Huston will be calling Races 2, 3 and 4, before heading downstairs for a meet and greet with fans on the main level of the Grandstand. A special commemorative T-Shirt will be for sale.

Huston, who started his storied career in 1960, has called over 175,000 races at 138 different tracks, covering 17 states and seven countries.

Huston will start his evening at Mohawk by appearing on the track’s simuclast pre-game show at 6:45 p.m. Fans are encouraged to submit their questions for “The Voice” either through Twitter or by e-mailing them to Ken Middleton (kzm@woodbineentertainment.com).

Saturday’s evening’s card features 10 races, including a C$34,000 Preferred Pace. Post time is 7:30 p.m.
