Huston has called more than 188,000 races throughout his career in at least 20 states and eight countries. Huston was inducted as a member of the United States Harness Writer’s Association Communicators Hall of Fame in 2000 and received its Proximity Award in 2011. Huston began his career in 1960 calling harness races at Ohio county fairs. He is the voice of the Little Brown Jug in Delaware, Ohio. Most recently Huston served as the track announcer at the Meadows in Washington, Pa. and host of the Meadows Racing television show.

“Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. I am looking forward to returning to where it all began, the Buckeye State,” said Huston. “I want to be able to give back to Ohio what Ohio has given me in my 60-year career. This is a great opportunity for me to work with a great organization, to be up close with the fans and spread my passion for harness racing.”

“The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is honored to have Roger Huston join our team,” said OHAA President Steve Bateson. “I look forward to Hall of Fame member Roger Huston making a difference in Ohio. Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye.”
