Roger Plante continues his hot streak at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Roger Plante recently scored career win 2,000 at Rosecroft Raceway. Tuesday night (May 26), win 2,003 proved to be a track record as he guided Celia Hall to an older mare trotting track record in 1:55.

The 6-year old daughter of Cash Hall sat the pocket behind front runner BWT Taj and held off a game Dash For The Cash (Daryl Bier) who was parked the entire mile. House On Fire (Jonathan Roberts) skimmed the pylons for third in the Open Handicap for trotters.

Hi Sir (Russell Foster) rallied from sixth to claim the $11,500 Open I Handicap Pace. The 7-year old son of Sir Luck nipped the pacesetter Tom’s Titan (Roberts) in 1:51.3.

In the Open II Handicap Pace, I Wanna Go Fast wired the field for Art Stafford Jr. in 1:51.4. Booze Cruzin (Frank Milby) was second and Button Fly (Plante) was third. The winner is the homebred of trainer Brian Callahan and is co-owned by Gloria Kinnamon.

The story of the meet continues to be Little Miss Woohoo who scored a victory in the $11,500 Open Pace for mares. Daryl Bier cut fractions from post eight of :26.4, :54.3 and 1:23.3 and held off Rocket Rosy (Milby) by a slim neck in 1:53.1 .Bonnie Ben Jammin (Jared Moyer) rallied for third. Clyde Oglesby Jr. conditions the mare for the Denmar Stable of Florida.

Sean Bier won two of the first three races, while Art Stafford Jr. and Jared Moyer also won a pair of races on the night.

With three nights of racing left in the meet, Milby leads Plante 42-40 in the dash driving race, while Oglesby leads Callahan 15-14 in the trainer standings.
