Roll Em trailed by six lengths at the half before Dave Palone angled him off the cones to follow the live first-over cover of A Fair Ol Dance N. When Roll Em peeled off that cover, he found a new gear and overtook Surreal Ideal in deep stretch, downing him by 3/4 lengths in 1:52.4. Wild Wild Western shot the Lightning Lane for show.

Ron Burke trains Roll Em, a 4-year-old Time To Roll-Fetonthedashboard gelding who now boasts a career bankroll of $352,691, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Frank Baldachino and Beasty LLC. It was one of four wins for Palone on the 14-race card.

The Meadows kicks off its 2023 season Wednesday (Jan. 4), when the track introduces its three-cards-a-week winter schedule. The Meadows will offer live racing each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, post time 12:45 p.m. each day.
