Roll With Joe, White Birch Farm collect trophies at NJ Breeders luncheon

Manalapan, NJ — Pacing star Roll With Joe and breeder White Birch Farm were among the honorees at the 55th annual New Jersey Breeders Awards luncheon on Sunday (Jan. 15) at Charley’s Other Brother in Eastampton, N.J.

Douglas H. Fisher, the New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture, presented the 2011 New Jersey Standardbred of the Year trophy to Ed Hart, trainer of Roll With Joe, and Michael Kimelman of Blue Chip Bloodstock, which co-owns the Meadowlands Pace winner with Winbak Farm, Stephen Demeter, Sheila Baird and Not To Worry Stable.

The son of Cam’s Card Shark was voted the nation’s 3-year-old Pacing Colt of the Year and is a finalist for Pacer of the Year honors.

White Birch Farm in Allentown, N.J., was saluted as New Jersey Breeder of the Year for 2011.

White Birch’s owner and general manager Michael Parisi accepted the award from 2010 winner Anthony Perretti of Perretti Farms.

Selected by the Breeders Committee of the Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey, Breeder of the Year honors was also won by White Birch in 2004.
