Roman Miller, 71, dies

Columbus, OH — Roman D. Miller, 71, died Jan. 3, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

Born in Dover, Del., he was the son of the late David B. and Cassie A. Miller.

Mr. Miller had been an owner, trainer and driver of Standardbreds. He was a member of the Cloverleaf Racing Association.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Louise; children, Willis, Barbara and Susan Harrington; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; brothers, David and Samuel; sister, Suzanne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday (Jan. 11) from 1-4 p.m. at the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Company in Pittsville, Md.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roman D. Miller Memorial Fund, c/o Farmers Bank of Willards, 7233 Main St., Willards, MD 21874.

Arrangements are in the care of the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
