Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. to compete at Colonial Downs this weekend

New Kent, VA — Ronnie Wrenn, Jr., North America’s winningest driver this year, will compete at Colonial Downs this weekend.

The 27-year-old will be in the sulky primarily for trainer Dean Eckley’s horses, but he has several other drives scheduled as well.

Wrenn sits atop the 2013 national driver rankings with 489 wins from 2,228 starts. He also has 349 seconds, 304 third place finishes and his horses have earned $1,984,245. Dave Palone is second in wins this year with 472.

Wrenn started driving in 2008 and has amassed 1,100 career wins and earnings of $4,067,445.

He has seven drives scheduled on Saturday and six on Sunday. Post time both days is 1 p.m.
