Rosecroft closing night

Ft. Washington, MD – Frank Milby, Tyler Davis, and John Wagner closed out the fall racing meet with driving doubles as Rosecroft wrapped its 2019 racing season on Wednesday night (Dec. 18).

Milby, the fall dash driving champion picked up wins with Tanzanite Love ($4.20)  and Flash’s Fool ($5) both owned by Joseph Plummer and trained by Jason Walters.

Wagner scored a trotting win with Fox Valley Strpwr ($12.40) in his third start for Wagner and trainer Arlene Cameron, who wrapped up another training title in the fall meet.  Wagner’s second win came with Graygon ($4.40) giving Wagner and Cameron a double on the night.

Tyler Davis has had a solid 2019 as the 27-year old was a full-time driver for the entire year at Rosecroft. Among his 43 wins on the year, 27 in the fall meet, last night he picked up his 13th win at odds of 5-1 or greater as E-Z Pass B ($21.80) took the final race of 2019 for owner-trainer William Fletcher. Davis also rolled Doctor McSwing ($8) to the winner’s circle for owners Allan Pullman and Barry Glickstein for trainer Martin Davis.

Romantic Interest won the Pacer of the Meet with four wins and a mile mark of 1:50.3 for owner Candy Milby and trainer Frank Milby.

Trotter of the Meet went to What That Is for owner-trainer Kerry Welty. The 4-year old Cams Rocket offspring was piloted by Roger Plante and won five Open Handicaps during the Fall meet.

Rosecroft will reopen in 2020 on Sunday. Jan. 19.
