Fort Washington, MD — The Maryland Jockey Club and Rosecroft Raceway welcome back the trotters and pacers for the 2019 season with an earlier than usual opener on Wednesday (Feb. 6).

Live racing for the spring meet continues through May 18 with a Wednesday post time of 6:40 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. on Sundays.

Rossecroft will also conduct live racing on Kentucky Derby Day (May 4) and Preakness Day (May 18) with a 7 p.m. post.

For horsemen interested in training at Rosecroft prior to the opener, the track will be open on Wednesday (Jan. 23) from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.(weather permitting).

Qualifiers will be held on Wednesday (Jan. 30) at noon. The track will also be open for training that day as well. During the meet qualifiers will be held on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m.

Racing applications can be downloaded at www.rosecroft.com and are due by Feb. 1. The first draw of the meet will be on Friday (Feb. 1). Additional information will be available on the first condition sheet.
