Rosecroft readies for Fall meet

Ft. Washington, MD — Rosecroft Raceway kicks off its 27-day fall meet on Tuesday (Sept. 20). Racing will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays (except for Thanksgiving Day), through Dec. 22. Post time is 7:15 p.m.

The racetrack will be available for training on Thursdays (Sept. 8 and 15) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first qualifier will be held on Tuesday (Sept. 13) at 10 a.m. Please enter by 9 a.m. Monday (Sept. 12).

The draw schedule is Monday for Thursday (scratch time is Tuesday by 6 p.m.) and Wednesday for Tuesday (scratch time is Friday by 9 a.m.).

Lisa Watts, Director of Operations for the Maryland Jockey Club at Rosecroft, stated, “We are pleased to be offering live racing again this fall, and supporting our Maryland horsemen and women. The purses have been increased significantly, as we will be paying out nightly purses of $115,000, with an additional 40 percent bonus to all Maryland sired, owned and bred horses. We are looking forward to the change in racing nights to Tuesdays and Thursdays, and anticipating another successful racing meet here at Rosecroft.”

The seventh annual Potomac Pace will be held on Thursday (Nov. 10).
