Rosecroft readies for fall meet

Fort Washington, MD — Rosecroft Raceway, Maryland’s “Raceway by the Beltway,” will kick off the fall portion of its 70th anniversary season on Sunday (Sept. 8).

Live racing will take place on Wednesdays and Sundays through closing night, Dec. 18. Please note the change in post time to 7:15 p.m. nightly.

There will be live racing on Saturday (Nov. 2) — Breeders’ Cup Day — with no live racing on Sunday (Nov. 3).

The highlight of the fall meet is the fourth annual $100,000 Potomac Pace which is scheduled for Nov. 10 this season.

The first qualifier will be held on Wednesday (Sept. 4) at 11 a.m. The track will also be open for training on that day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Racing applications for the fall meet are now available at rosecroft.com and are due by Sept. 3.

“We are looking forward to another successful meet here at “the Croft” with plenty of great racing action and wagering opportunities,” said Director of Racing/Racing Secretary Pete Hanley. “We are hoping the change in post time will enable us to attract more business, and increase our fan base across the country.”
