Fort Washington, MD — For the first time in over a year, Standardbred horses will return to the Rosecroft Raceway oval as qualifying races will be conducted Saturday (Oct. 8) at 10 a.m.
Qualifier entries will be taken Friday (Oct. 7) beginning at 10 a.m. Entries can be placed through the Rosecroft Racing Office at 301.567.4401.
A training day has been scheduled for Friday (Oct. 7) with the track open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Trainers wishing to ship in for training must make prior arrangements by calling 301.567.4401 starting at 12 noon on Thursday (Oct. 6). Depending on demand, restrictions may be placed on the number of horses permitted to train at any given time. All horses wishing to ship-in to Rosecroft must show proof of a negative Coggins test within the past year.
Additional qualifying dates are scheduled for Oct. 12 (10 a.m.) and 18 (time TBA). Entries for both will be taken the day prior starting at 10 a.m. Training dates are planned for Oct. 11 and 19.
The first live racing date at Rosecroft is Friday (Oct. 21) with live racing every Friday and Saturday through Dec. 17, plus Thursdays on Dec. 8 and 15. Post time nightly will be 6:45 p.m.
Entries for live racing dates will be taken each Wednesday starting at 2:30 p.m.
All horsemen planning to race at Rosecroft must submit a Racing Application in advance. Applications are now available at www.cloverleafsoa.org.
