Rule passed to keep claimers in Kentucky

Columbus, OH – Horse Racing Nation is reporting that the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission approved a rule Tuesday (Feb. 15) that would ban horses claimed in Kentucky from running in another state for 30 days after the end of the meet where it is claimed. Also approved was a new rule that restricts owners claiming more than one horse out of a race.

Owners will also not be allowed to claim a horse in Kentucky unless they have raced a horse in the state in the previous 30 days.
