Running Aces hires new Director of Governmental Relations and Communications

Columbus, MN — Running Aces Harness Park announces the hiring of Mary Manney as Director of Governmental Relations and Communications.

“We are pleased to have Mary join our team,” said Robert Farinella, Running Aces General Manager. “She will augment our governmental communications and enhance public awareness of Running Aces positive impacts to agriculture, economic growth and good corporate citizenship.”

Mary Manney brings with her fifteen years of experience in the horse racing and gaming industry, in both the regulatory and private sector. Most recently, Manney was Deputy Executive Director for the Minnesota Racing Commission and prior to the Racing Commission she was Director of Operations and Marketing for Rosecroft Raceway in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

In the newly created position Manney will be responsible for the company’s public relations and communications along with supporting the Marketing and Human Resources Department.

“Being only five years old, we are still growing our brand,” said Aaron Bedessem, Director of Marketing at Running Aces. “Mary brings a lot of experience in Marketing and will be able to help us continue getting our message and brand out to the public.”
