Altamont, IL — Sagebrush p,1:49 ($646,967), a son of Western Hanover-Just Say Go, will stand the 2012 season at the University of Illinois Horse Farm at Urbana for a fee of $2,000.
Sagebrush, from a crop of ten 2-year-olds in 2011, is the sire of both the fastest Illinois bred colt, NJ’s Big Deal p,2,1:52.2 and fastest filly, Sleazy Does It p,2,1:53 ($102,745). Sleazy Does It, the Illinois State Fair champion, was also named Illinois’ 2-year-old Pacing Filly of the Year.
Sagebrush was purchased by Fair Meadow Farm from Engel Stable, LLC and Rucker Stable, Inc. who owned him during his Meadowlands career.
He joins Fair Meadow Farm stallions Duneside Perch, Southwind Breeze and Yankee Valor at the University of Illinois Horse Farm, all on lease to the University of Illinois.
