The 5-year-old San Moteur with trainer/driver Björn Goop became Europe’s fastest trotter so far in 2022, winning in 1:51.3f at Färjestad in Sweden Friday afternoon (April 15).

San Moteur (sired by Panne de Moteur) made a very impressive performance as he was parked outside the leading Ônas Prince with Per Nordström most of the trip.

Down the stretch Ônas Prince faded, but San Moteur kept on to win by a half-length followed by Italian trotter Best ofdream Trio with Kim Eriksson.

The win time is not only Europe’s fastest in 2022, but it is also the fastest win on a five-eighth-mile track in the world this year.
