Nichols, NY — Two-time Canadian champion San Pail continues to build his reputation south of the border.
“It was never about ducking anyone,” said driver Randy Waples after San Pail trotted the fastest mile in Vernon Downs history in the Credit Winner this past Friday.
With two straight dominating wins in the U.S., San Pail has earned the title of North America’s top trotter.

See You At Peelers returned to Tioga Downs this past Sunday, attempting to start a new winning streak. Instead, she was disqualified from a win in the New York Sire Stakes, prompting trainer Jimmy Takter and driver Jim Morrill, Jr. to agree that something is not right with the champion filly.
“She just didn’t feel like she had it tonight,” said Morrill following the race.
