Noble rushed Big Bad Jane from the outermost post in the compact field of five to the lead shortly before the :26.4 first quarter clocking. Miller was content to slip Sandy Sue into the two-hole and sat chilly in that spot until pulling into her own lane at the head of the stretch. The Tyler George trainee got past the favorite with relative ease and cruised to the finish line with a 1-1/2 length advantage. Boogie Roll (Chris Presley) just nipped Rosemary Rose (Josh Sutton) in a tight battle for show.

It was Sandy Sue’s first visit to Hollywood Dayton following a season at Harrah’s Hoosier Park where she notched three wins and $40,805 in earnings. Career-wise, the 5-year-old daughter of Shark Gesture now sports 17 triumphs and $182,019 in purse winnings.

The Duck Creek Farm of Rockford, Ohio, own Sandy Sue, who was bred by prominent Standardbred owner Joe Sbrocco.

Racing resumes Halloween night (Oct. 31) at Hollywood Dayton with first race post at 6:15 p.m.
