Saratoga accident Monday afternoon

Columbus, OH –  An accident in Saratoga’s 12th race on Monday (April 11) caused four of the seven horses in the race not to finish.

The horses and drivers involved were Brio Beach (Brett Crawford), Quarrel (Jim Devaux), Never Not Dancing (Alek Chartrand), and Tremendous Cruiser (Brett Beckwith).

According to Saratoga media relations representative Mike Sardella on Facebook, “I’m told Brett Crawford is very sore but overall ok.  Sadly, Brett Beckwith has a broken wrist and mild concussion.  Alek Chartrand is just coming out of X-rays hurting all over.”

Devaux was able to drive in the 13th and final race on the card.
