Saratoga Casino and Raceway donates $100,000 to 16 local charities

Saratoga Springs, NY — Saratoga Casino and Raceway will hold its 11th annual Make a Difference celebration next week, presenting 16 local charitable organizations with donations totaling $100,000.

Saratoga Casino and Raceway launched Make A Difference 11 years ago as a way to provide impactful funding to local organizations. This year’s 11th annual event brings the total amount provided to $1.1 million since the program’s inception in 2004.

“We look forward to this event every year,” said Rita Cox, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. “It’s our great pleasure to honor these tremendous organizations that have such an impact on the lives of our employees, families and friends in the Capital Region.”

The 2015 Make a Difference celebration will be held in Vapor on Monday (Oct. 26) at 12 p.m. Benita Zahn will serve as the event’s emcee. Around 150 guests and representatives from the community are expected to attend.
