Saratoga Harness sets handle record Monday

Saratoga Springs, NY — On Monday (March 6), Saratoga Harness set a single day handle record of $632,000, eclipsing the previous record of $587,000, set on Sept. 16, 2006.

“To handle the most money we ever have on any single day in 82 years of operation is something we’re very excited about,” said Director of Racing John Matarazzo.

Along with a loyal fan base in upstate New York, Saratoga Harness’ racing is broadcast in over 350 outlets throughout North America, Europe and Australia.

“It’s great to see the favorable response to our racing product extends far beyond our local market. We’re fortunate to be able to offer the betting public full race cards this time of year. Special thanks to our horsemen and the talented drivers that put on the show,” Matarazzo said.
