Saratoga Springs, NY — Saratoga Casino and Raceway, Saratoga Eagle Sales and Service, and Albany Broadcasting are collaborating on ‘Here’s to the Heroes’ on Aug. 20.

In partnership with Anheuser-Busch, the trio of local businesses are once again teaming up to help raise donations for Operation Adopt A Soldier, an organization that benefits local soldiers and their families. The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 20), inside Vapor at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.

“In just its second year, ‘Here’s to the Heroes’ has experienced tremendous growth,” said Rita Cox, Senior Vice President of Marketing and External Affairs at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. “We’re pleased to work with our local partners to benefit the brave men and women who serve this great country.”

“Saratoga Eagle and Budweiser have a long standing tradition of recognizing our nation’s heroes,” stated John Rogan, Vice President of Sales at Saratoga Eagle. “We are grateful for the opportunity to once again partner with Saratoga Casino and Raceway and Operation Adopt A Soldier to benefit our local men and women serving in the Armed Forces. Last year’s event was a huge success and we expect an even bigger turnout this year. We are proud to serve those who serve.”

New for this year’s event is a trio of nationally renowned Country recording artists: James Otto, Mo Pitney and Josh Dorr. The $10 ticket price provides admission to Vapor for all three performances, while 100 percent of the ticket proceeds will go directly to Operation Adopt A Soldier. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased in advance at www.saratogacasino.com.

“As a locally owned business, The New 100.9 The CAT is very proud to present the second ‘Here’s to the Heroes’ event at Saratoga Casino and Raceway,” said Jon Reilly, Program Director at 100.9 The Cat. “We hope everyone has an opportunity to be able to attend to salute our local heroes and their families — as well as to support our troops!”

Additionally, the first 500 guests in attendance will receive a complimentary ‘Here’s to the Heroes’ t-shirt. Monetary donations will also be accepted during the event for the ‘Operation Adopt A Soldier’ organization.

“Here’s to Heroes will be a good way to show support to your hero and to help out other soldiers here at home and overseas,” said Cliff Seguin, Chairman of Operation Adopt A Soldier. “It is the goal of Operation Adopt a Soldier to raise and maintain awareness to the American people of the day to day sacrifices that our military men and women and their families make to protect our freedoms. OAAS has sent over 300,000 packages to our soldiers since beginning in 2003, at an average cost of $14.55 for each package. A Master Sergeant once wrote to us ‘when my soldiers get packages from Operation Adopt A Soldier, it is like Christmas every day.'”
