Saratoga Springs, NY — Savage Cinderella (Keystone Savage) was named the top claiming trotter of the year for the $5,000-$6,000 class in 2014 and on Thursday (March 12) was back in the form that she displayed through the majority of last season at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

The Joe Carrubba-trained trotting mare drew the rail in her second start of the year and was moved out to the early lead by reinsman Jimmy Devaux. Bet down to odds of 1-5 on Thursday’s twilight race card, Savage Cinderella never faced a legit challenge before drawing away to win by more than six lengths in 2:00.1 in the evening’s $5,000 claiming trot.

Live racing takes place on Friday night with a first post time set for 6:45 p.m.
