Manalapan, NJ — The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey is proud to announce a new Breeders Award Program to be effective immediately.

This new program has been made possible by the passage of the legislation appropriating $10 million to the Standardbred industry each year. Of the $10 million, $600,000 is earmarked for Breeders Awards.

This program will award the breeder of a horse which earns purse income in the eliminations and finals of the following races starting in 2019: New Jersey Sire Stakes Premier division, New Jersey Sire Stakes Standardbred Development Fund, Renaissance Pace, New Jersey Futurity, Garden State Trot, and Home Grown Pace.

Payments equal to 15 percent of purses earned will be made to the breeder approximately 30 days after the running of each race.
