Schedule change during December at The Mighty M

Monticello, NY — During the month of December there will be a change in the live racing schedule at Monticello Raceway.

Racing will continue with the same Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule through Thursday, December 13.

However, beginning Monday, December 17, eight consecutive racing programs are scheduled through Christmas Eve Day, Monday, December 24.

The Raceway will be dark on Christmas Day, December 25, but will resume racing on Wednesday, December 26, and continue on Thursday, December 27.

A final 2007 race card will be presented on New Year’s Eve Day, Monday, December 31. On that day The Mighty M will card, and is hopeful to once again fill, a race strictly for 14-year-olds, who, according to harness racing’s rules and regulations, will have to be retired when they turn 15 on January 1, 2008.

Post times remain at 12:40 p.m. for every race card. In all, there will be 19 live racing programs during December.

Simulcast wagering will continue to be available seven days a week. Harness programs can be wagered on Monday through Saturday while Thoroughbred simulcasts will be available Wednesday through Sunday.
