Columbus, OH — Effective April 1, 2011, Governor John Kasich made the following appointments to the Ohio State Racing Commission.

Chairman of the Racing Commission: Robert Schmitz (R), Bexley, Legislative Representative and former OHHA Legislative Representative.

Commission members: Todd Book (D), McDermott, an attorney and 2010 term limited State Representative and B. J. Roach (R), Grove City, businessman and former Thoroughbred horse owner.

OSRC Executive Director Tom Fries resigned his position, effective April 1, 2011.
